JayGee's Nook DT


Good Morning Crafty People,

and welcome to another week with JayGee's Nook DT.  This week I have used a very cute stamp by MFT (Pure Innocence) called 'Snow Day'.  My gorgeous hubby got a new camera for his birthday this week (Canon EOS D60), so I asked him to photograph my card this week.  What do you think?

JayGee's Nook DT

Ah! It's December! (just thought I'd put that out there Ha!)

... and here we are back with another DT post for JayGee's Nook.  This week I have used another gorgeous stamp from La La Land Crafts called 'Santa Marci'.  All these stamps are great for colouring with your copics (great practice anyway LOL!)

JayGee's Nook Challenge 14

Good Morning Crafty People,

I can't believe that another month has flown by...  but here we are, the last Sunday in November.  And this means a new CHALLENGE for JayGee's Nook.  I don't know about you, but with this challenge I have finally started my little gift baskets for all my boys' teachers.  Here is the inspiration photo, and it should certainly get your Christmas juices flowing (Hahahaha!).






I have kept my design very CAS (this certainly helps when you have a lot to do LOL!),  I have used MFT heart and snowflake die (sprinkled with dazzling diamonds), and a simple sentiment from Hero Arts.




For this little gift box I have used a simple christmas tree from Hero Arts and some absolutely gorgeous paper from MME 'Breeze'

It's time for another card for JayGee's Nook.  This week I have used the super cute La La Land Crafts 'Summer Christmas Marci'.  I was so excited about the fact that she is wearing thongs (flip-flops), as you all know here is Australia it is hot, hot, hot at Christmas time!  so thongs are about the only sensible thing to wear Hahaha!

JayGee's Nook Challenge 13

Good Morning Crafty People

This week we have a new challenge for you here at JayGee's Nook.  It's a little different from previous challenges, as there is no inspiration photo.  This week we have challenged you to create a non-holiday card using holiday stamps (any holiday - Christmas, Halloween etc.).

Here is my card this week, and I used my super cute Paper Smooches 'Halloweenies' set and created a birthday card ... I have hand drawn the birthday hat with my copic multi-liner and then coloured with copics.  The balloons are from an old SU! set, and I have just stamped images over them and cut them out, and coloured with copics.

Halloweenies ...

Hey Crafty People

Here we are back again with some more inspiration from the JayGee's Nook DT.  This week I had the pleasure of inking up a set from Paper Smooches called 'Halloweenies' (such a cute name, don't you think?).   This was one of the those cards that I had thought alot about, and it actually turned out exactly as I had pictured it (as your know, this doesn't always happen LOL!)  I made the film strip myself using various dies and punches.

JayGee's Nook Challenge 12

Today at JayGee's Nook we have a new CHALLANGE,  and a gorgeous new inspiration photo by Joy.

For my card today I have used 'Sweetheart Marci' by La la land.  This was lots of fun to colour, and if you have the stamp you will notice that I have tried to replicate the hair colour.  I didn't know the exact colours, so I had to guess .... I think it turned out OK, what do you think?

JayGee's Nook DT

Good morning Crafty People,

It's spring here in Australia, and the weather is getting warmer and the days are getting longer ... I love spring!  Anyway, getting back to my card for today, I have used some new Hero Arts 'Magic of Christmas' and 'Holiday Sayings'.  You will find these and lots of other 'Christmas' goodies in the SHOP.

JayGee's Nook Challenge 11

Good Morning Crafty People,

It is the last Sunday in August (Aarhh!), which here at JayGee's Nook means a new CHALLENGE.  Joy has done it again with our inspiration photo, it is awesome (thanks Joy).  We would love for you to play along with us, and there is always a fabulous prize to be won ....





For my card this week, I used a technique that I have been wanting to try for a while.  First I embossed the flowers with clear embossing powder, then stamped the text ramdomly and then I sponged some colour over it all.  I masked off the bottom 2cm for the sentiment.  I then coloured the rhinestones and ribbon with my copics to match.

It's Sunday morning here in Oz, and that means another DT post from JayGee's Nook.  My card this week uses the new Hero Arts/BasicGrey background stamp called 'Hello Luscious'.  I have stamped in versamark, embossed in white and then spomged my colour on (a bit hit and miss, but I like the way it looks).  I have also coloured the flower in with my copics to match.
