Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween Everyone!

We don't really celebrate halloween here in Oz, but I have been stalking so many US websites that I thought I would do something small for the boys to take to school/playgroup. Not sure where I saw the idea (so sorry I can't give credit), but these are 'wrapped' lolly pops with a little spider on the front. (I think that somebody did something like this on Kristina's Challenge this week). They were super easy to make (it just the volume that is the killer!).

Stamps: Occasional greetings
Card: Only orange, black & whisper white
Ink: Basic black
Accessories: Scollap punch, word window punch, 1/2" circle punch, cropadile, marvy square scollap punch

Ok Mr Linky - here we come. Kristina is trying something new for her Colour Inspiration Challenge. Hopefully it will make life a little bit easier for her. This week the colours are:

Pumpkin pie, ruby red, sage shadow & whisper white.

AND I simply love that coin purse. You know how most people collect something, whether it's baseball caps (my husband), jeanie bottles (I used to), cat figurines (because my husband hates real cats!) that sort of thing, well I love coin purses as well! Anyway, enough rambling on, here is my card ....

Card: Sage shadow, whisper white, ruby red & pumpkin pie
Ink: Pumpkin pie, ruby red, sage shadow & basic black

From Hollywood (Los Angeles)

Hi Everyone

Well, we are on our final leg of our journey (fingers crossed we get on tonights flight). It has been a great holiday, and our last two days in Hollywood have been our (mine & Gordos') shopping time (YEAH!). We are staying in the 'Kodak Theatre' complex, right next to the 'walk of stars' and 'Grossmans Chinese Theatre' with the hand & footprints of all the stars.

Here are some pics ...

Gotta love the weirdos .....

These characters hang out in front of 'Grossmans Chinese Theatre' for most of the day. There was also a Mickey Mouse, Spiderman, 1/2 a dozen Jack Sparrows, Tigger, Batman & Robin and Superman ...

And here is a look into Calum's future (he! he!), this bike is outside the 'Harley Davidson' shop at the 'City Walk' Universal Studios. Cool hey!

... anyway, I'm hoping that we might be able to squeeze some more shopping in today (I don't know how I am going to pack more stuff (we have purchased 7 pairs of runners ...), but I will try.

From San Diego (part 3)

On friday we went to 'Legoland'. The weather had cooled down a bit, so the boys weren't able to go into the 'splash' areas. Here are some photos ...

This is actually the end of the day ...

... there are a million things made of lego all through the park

and this is the 'soak zone' ...

From San Diego

Dear Grandma & Grandpa

Well, we have had a busy week and this is our last day in San Diego. Here are some pitures for you ...

San Diego Zoo
This is an albino python (it was soooo HUGE! but an amazing colour)...

This was the hippo enclosure. They were swimming right next to the glass.

On Thursday, we went back to Seaworld. We were able to by fish in a tray and feed dolphins and seals. You could touch the dolphins as you were feeding them! How fantastic is that ... you can't really tell in the picture, but there are no barriers between you and the dolphins.

We went to the 'Shamu' show again ... and they had the baby performing ...

Check out this car ... it is a VW with a dorsal fin, tail and painted like a killer whale. How cool is this...

Anyway, I will be back later with photos from 'Legoland'.
