JayGee's Nook Challenge 5

Hey Everyone,

Well it's Sunday here in foggy Melbourne, and can you believe it's the last Sunday in February ALREADY!  Which means time for another fabulous challenge from JayGee's Nook.  I know you will love this months inspiration photos.  We would love for you to play along with us, and Judith always has a fabulous prize to give away, so get crafty and link you card HERE.

For my card this week, I have kept it very clean and simple using Jane's Doodles set 'Jane's Bakery'.  I have layered the cake with 3 tiers, used crystal effects on the icing and used my plaid background stamp on the cake too.  I don't think you can see all the detail on the cake in the photo, but it looks really cool IRL.

You will find more fabulous inspiraion on Judith and Joy's blog...

Stamps:  Jane's Baker (Jane's Doodles), Large plaid background (Hero Arts),  Huge Hugs (Hero Arts),
Card:  X-press white
Ink:  True black, tuxedo black, copics
Accessories:  Crystal effects, rhinestones (coloured with copics), sponge

Thanks for stopping by
and have a good one!

Simple Birthday Card

Don't you just love the pressure of having to do a really quick card, in like 20 minutes.  Last weekend this happened to me and it was super stressful, because lately I like to think about what I am going to do for a couple of days and then just sit down and do it.  It doesn't always work out, but at least the idea is there ...

Here is a really simple card (I actually made 2 - almost identical LOL!).

Stamps:  Pun fun (SU!), Large plaid background (Hero Arts), Jane's bakery (Jane's Doodles)
Card:  Kraft, xpress white
Ink:  Copics, real red, crumb cake
Accessories:  Pewter liquid pearls, acetate

Have a good one!

JayGee's Nook DT

Hi Everyone and welcome to another week with  JayGee's Nook DT.  This week I am using the very cute Lawn Fawn set called 'Fly Free'.  I have also used the gimgham paper from A Muse (which is being discontinured - so grab some while stocks last!).

As you may or may not know, North Queensland had a category 5 cyclone this week.  And Judith (owner of JayGee's Nook) was right in the middle of it.  Luckily Judith and her family are ok, but they were without power and electricity for over 50 hours.  We have certainly been having some extreme weather around the globe this week!

Challenge #4 went up last weekend, and you can join in the fun HERE.  You will also find some fabulous inspiration on Judith and Joys blog.

Card:  Kraft, select white, pnk gingham (A Muse)
Ink:  Crumb cake, true black, copics (R83,R85,R89), melon mambo, pink pirouette
Accessories:  Rhinestones, white satin ribbon (PTI)

Papertrey Anniversary

Happy Anniversary
Papertrey Ink

I have to say that since I first discovered PTI, my stash has grown considerably (a fact which my husband mostly chooses to ignore LOL!).  The card I am sharing (again) today has lots of PTI products, but it is the colours that I like the best (raspberry fizz, fine linen and kraft).

You can see my original post and recipe HERE.
