Makeesha's Colour Challenge

Here is this weeks challenge from Makeesha. If you feel like playing along, you can find all the details here. The colours were close to cocoa, groovy guava, soft sky & very vanilla.

Stamps: Lovely as a tree & occasional greeting
Card: Very vanilla, groovy guava, close to cocoa & soft sky
Ink: Soft sky, close to cocoa (& marker)

Another wonderful colour challenge from Kristina. This week the colours are:

Riding hood red (real red), sahara sand (or metalic paper), whisper white and very vanilla

This picture and colours just inspired me to make another christmas card (my stock is not as good as I thought. oops!). This photo is from Crate & Barrel.

Here is my card for this week. Yes, this is the same alpha set I used last week because it is a loaner from a friend, so I am making the most of it while I have it (thanks Sue).

Makeesha'a Sketch Challenge

Just a quickie today (it's cleaning day!). Here is my card for Keesh's sketch challenge. I cased the colours and part of the layout from our current SU! catalogue.

Card: Blue bayou, soft sky, real red & very vanilla

I have had a very productive weekend (with my stamping that is LOL!). The weather here in Melboutne has been like winter again (and we are only about 10 days from summer! what's with that!). Anyway, here is my card for Taylor's cupcake challenge:

Wow! these colours were mentally challenging to say the least. I actually enjoyed working with elegant eggplant for one of Kristina's other challenges, but found these colours together quite hard. The colours this week are:

Elegant eggplant, close to cocoa, pumpkin pie, so safftron & whisper white.

Melbourne Regionals Nov' 2008

We had our regionals here in Melbourne last Saturday. I had never been to any Stampin' Up! event before, so it was all new to me. It was full of inspirational talks and wows! by some very talented demos (woo hoo! Jenni). We even had 'make & takes' to do. Lunch was provided and I recieved some fantastic swaps from some very talented ladies.

Hi everyone

Sorry for the slack blogging, but it is cup week here in Melbourne, which means the kids are at home (mine anyway) for 4 days. If you had a flutter on the horses, I hope you won! I haven't yet, but today is 'Ladies Day' at Flemmington so I might put a bet on today (maybe). Having said that, my oldest is home sick with spots all over his body, so it is off to the doctors later this morning.

Anyway, getting back to business, here is the card for Kristina's Colour Challenge this week ...

OMG! these colours were really hard to work with (elegant eggplant, pumpkin pie, taken with teal, baja breeze & whisper white). I am not too unhappy with the result, but would never have put these colours together.
