Happy Birthday

Hi y'all,

Just popping in quickly to share a card with you. My girlfriend turned **** this month, and because she is a papercraft addict, our instructions were to make our birthday cards ourselves (no cards bought from a shop!) ... needless to say, I had to really do something special AND of course I had to use kraft (my favourite neutral), HAD to use polka dots (Sue's favourite). I was very happy with the way this card turned out and was going to use it in this month's PTI Blog Hop (but missed it because of the different time zones LOL! maybe next month). You will have to excuse my fingers in some of the photos, acetate is quite difficult to photograph.



You might not be able to see, but I stamped the flowers in versamark on the front, inside and back.

Card: Kraft (of course), basic black

Ink: Black stazon, versamark

Accessories: Swiss dot black ribbon (PTI), black brads, Kaiser rhinestones

Inkspirations Colour Challenge 17

Wow! I can't even imagine what it would be like to move from one side of a country to the other, but that is what Makeesha has done. She has moved from Perth to Cairns, and I am sure it won't take long for them to settle in. (It might take a bit longer to get used to the humidity LOL!).

Hello, hello

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Melbourne, and my mojo seems to be returning. Nothing like a few challenge to get the mojo flowing again. Anyway, I have studied Dawn's video on tying bows and mine doesn't look too bad. Thanks Dawn! Here is the inspiration photo for the 'Raspberry Suite CC' -

My inspiration for the flowers on the card came from Nicole Heady. I punched or cut the flowers, then stamped and sponged the edges, I destressed the edges with my scissors and then mounted them on dimensionals and put the brad through the middle of each one.

Embellish Challenge - Hearts

Hi everyone, hope you all had a lovely Chrismtas and New Year. I have been away from mid-December until just before the New Year. I am hoping to blog a little bit more regularly now that all the hustle and bustle of Christmas is over (fingers crossed).
